Luther on Worship: An Interpretation is unavailable, but you can change that!

In this text, Vilmos Vajta presents a thorough study of Luther’s thoughts on worship. This work provides insights interesting to Lutheran scholars, as well as engaging material relevant to Christian life and worship today.

1. God revealed himself in Christ in order to establish fellowship with mankind, to lead them to worship or to make them his worshipers. This revelation, incarnation, or condescension of God takes place through the means of grace. The God of worship who reveals himself in the Word and the sacraments is God-for-us (Deus pro nobis). To ignore this reference to mankind would be to misunderstand worship completely. The incarnation is connected with the idea of God and therefore also that of worship.
